Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using animated video media on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Tambakrigadung. The background of this research is the low mathematics learning outcomes caused by conventional teaching methods that are less engaging for students. This study employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method. The research subjects were fifth-grade students of SDN 2 Tambakrigadung who were divided into an experimental class and a control class. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, while data analysis was conducted using statistical tests to identify differences in learning outcomes between the two classes. The results of the study indicate that the use of animated video media has a positive effect on students’ mathematics learning outcomes. Students who were taught using animated video media achieved better learning outcomes compared to those who were taught without animated video media. Therefore, animated video media can be used as an alternative instructional medium to improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes
